What the report says

Esquire UK has published its July 2026 round-up of notable watch releases, highlighting eight models that it says stood out during a busy month for the sector. The selection is led by high-demand collaborations and pop-culture tie-ins, including a Casio G-Shock made with Pokémon and a new Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch described in the headline as a £520 gold edition.

According to Esquire, the Pokémon G-Shock drew heavy interest, with buyers in Japan entering a lottery and international customers racing to Casio’s website. The watch is described as the first full-sized Pokémon G-Shock after earlier BABY-G collaborations, with details referencing the first generation of games, a strap printed with 30 Pokémon and a Pikachu element on the sub-dial. Another Casio collaboration, with streetwear label C2H4, is noted for a futuristic take on the GA-2100 silhouette and a distinctive presentation case.

The magazine also points to several luxury and enthusiast releases. Bremont’s Supernova Hawking, made with Stephen Hawking’s family, uses design cues linked to black holes and includes meteorite sub-dials. Breitling appears three times with Aston Martin DB5-inspired Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 models in steel, steel and platinum, and red gold, each produced in limited numbers and drawing on James Bond-associated car design references.

Other entries include Hublot’s Big Bang Sapphire Sky Blue, which emphasizes transparency through sapphire components and a sky-blue skeleton dial, and the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon 1969. Esquire says that model uses 11 grams of Omega’s Moonshine Gold repurposed from spare parts dating to the Apollo 11 era, underscoring the month’s broader theme of watches built around scarcity, storytelling and brand partnerships.
