Bangladesh seized control of the first Test against Australia in Darwin after a standout batting display on the second day, led by opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim. According to Al Jazeera, Tanzid became the first Bangladeshi batter to score a Test century in Australia, finishing with 101 as Bangladesh reached 351-6 at stumps and moved 153 runs ahead with four wickets left.

The innings also featured an aggressive 84 from captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and a steady late stand that helped Bangladesh extend their advantage after Australia were bowled out for 198 on the opening day.
