Tanzania: Arusha Auto Show Announces Nine Categories, Best Exhibitors to Be Awarded

What the report says
Arusha will host the annual Arusha Auto Show at Magereza Grounds in Kisogo on Sept. 5-6, according to Daily News of Tanzania, distributed by AllAfrica. Organizers say the event is expected to draw more than 5,000 visitors and will feature nine award categories for exhibitors, clubs and media participants.
Event portfolio manager Augustine Namfua said standout entries will be recognized across categories including classic vehicles, adventure vehicles, customized vehicles, people’s choice, car club of the year, automotive media of the year, e-mobility pioneer, best club display and best exhibitor display. He said the show is meant to bring together car enthusiasts, dealers, parts sellers, insurers and other stakeholders to present products and ideas to the public.
The report says the show will be organized into six zones covering exhibition, e-mobility, smart mobility, overland and 4x4, car clubs and community, and lifestyle and family activities. A fashion section is also planned for broader public appeal, especially for visitors less focused on vehicles.
Beyond the cars themselves, organizers are positioning the event as a tourism and business platform. The report says tour operators will offer a safari to Makuyuni Wildlife Park after the show, while the Tanzania Wildlife Authority will run a conservation campaign. Namfua also linked the event to broader regional promotion ahead of Arusha’s role in Tanzania’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations hosting plans.
