The second Inter-University Fashion Challenge took place at the University of Kisubi in Entebbe, drawing students from six universities and showcasing work across seven design categories. According to The Independent Uganda, the event featured collections centered on Heritage, Modernity, Ghetto vs. Urban, Inclusive Fashion, Eco-Fashion, Color Your World and Accessories, with organizers describing the competition as a platform for emerging fashion talent.

Brother Maryviane Ndikizimba of the University of Kisubi was named overall best student fashion designer after competing against 33 other contestants. The report says his winning piece was a two-piece gown made with cowrie shells. Michelangelo College of Creative Arts was also recognized as the best fashion institute of the year, while category winners included Tahiya Namutamba of Kampala University, Kasera Cynthia Laureen of the University of Kisubi, Niyigena Angella and Nazziwa Jane of Michelangelo College of Creative Arts, Deborah Najengo of Uganda Christian University, and Otto Enzio, also from Michelangelo College.

The article says Ndikizimba received a sewing machine from Trillion Looks Store as part of the award.
