State record $34M Lotto America lottery ticket won in Minnesota - 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS

What the report says
KSTP reports that a Lotto America ticket purchased in Minnesota won a jackpot worth $34.12 million in the July 18 drawing, setting a new state record for the game. According to the Minnesota Lottery, the ticket was sold in Coon Rapids and can also be taken as a $15.15 million cash option.
The winning player has one year to come forward and claim the prize at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville, KSTP reported. The retailer that sold the jackpot ticket, the Holiday store on Coon Rapids Boulevard, is set to receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
The drawing also produced a $20,000 winner in Minnesota, and state lottery officials said Minnesota had winners in all nine Lotto America prize levels during the same drawing for the first time. Minnesota Lottery Executive Director Adam Prock described the jackpot as a historic moment for lottery players and said the win brings statewide attention while lottery proceeds continue to support Minnesotans.
Lotto America is a multi-state lottery game, and jackpot amounts can vary depending on ticket sales and whether a winner chooses annuity payments or a lump-sum cash option. As reported by KSTP, the identity of the winner was not included in the announcement, and the prize had not yet been claimed at the time of the report.
