According to the article, director Naoki Hamaguchi told Eurogamer that Rebirth’s hybrid action-and-command combat had effectively reached a highly refined state, but the team did not want to carry it over unchanged because players could find that too familiar.

The main combat addition highlighted by Wccftech is the FITS system, short for Function Integrated Tactical Suitwear. The feature is described as a job-like class system that lets players assign different roles to individual characters. Hamaguchi said the team wanted to address a limitation in earlier entries, where players could feel pushed toward specific party members in certain situations rather than freely choosing who to use.

Wccftech also says Revelation will expand the open-world approach, with players able to explore a larger world with fewer restrictions.
