Video Games Chronicle reported that Splatoon Raiders is sitting unusually high on Metacritic’s all-time user-ranked video game list, with a 9.3 User Score placing it seventh at the time of the article. The same page shows a separate critic aggregate of 81, which VGC said put the game 64th among the best-reviewed games of 2026, between Marathon and Halo: Campaign Evolved.

The outlet stressed that Metacritic’s User Score should not be read as a straightforward measure of quality. Registered users can rate games out of 10, and those ratings are aggregated separately from professional reviews. VGC noted that audience scores can be shaped by enthusiastic fan campaigns, memes or attempts to push scores sharply up or down; it pointed to Cory in the House appearing near the top of the same list as an example of how internet culture can affect rankings.

According to the article, Splatoon Raiders has drawn many perfect user ratings, while also receiving some zero scores from users apparently trying to lower its average. VGC framed the ranking as evidence that the Nintendo title has a committed fanbase, even if the precise position on the chart may not be especially meaningful.
