Sqoop Uganda reports that singer Spice Diana has spoken publicly about reconnecting with her estranged father after years of growing up without his support. In an interview on Bukedde TV, the Ugandan musician said the reunion happened unexpectedly during a concert, when a man approached the stage to give her money and she recognized him as her father, despite having been separated from him for many years.

According to the account published by Sqoop, Spice Diana linked that recognition to a painful memory from childhood, saying she remembered him from a time she had sought his help with her sister’s Primary Seven school fees and he declined. After the concert encounter, the two spoke briefly, exchanged contacts and later remained in communication. She said she has visited him twice since becoming known as Spice Diana, but emphasized that reconciliation has not produced a close father-daughter relationship.

The singer also responded to public criticism about her charitable work, including questions about why she helps vulnerable people while her father’s circumstances have not similarly changed. She said she has forgiven “both” of her fathers and does not carry resentment, while adding that adults are responsible for the lives they choose to lead.

Sqoop reported that Spice Diana connected her willingness to help strangers to her own upbringing, saying non-relatives showed her care and helped shape her life. The remarks offer a personal explanation for a public figure often associated with philanthropy, while also underlining the complexity of family reconciliation after long estrangement.
