SpaceX Cratering Below IPO Price, But 1 Wall Street Pro Thinks It Could 8X From Here - 24/7 Wall St.

What the report says
24/7 Wall St. reported that SpaceX shares, trading under the ticker SPCX, have fallen sharply since the company’s mid-June 2026 public listing. The article said Space Exploration Technologies priced its IPO at $135 a share, briefly traded much higher, and was recently near $113.50, leaving many early public-market buyers with losses. The report described the IPO as a record $75 billion offering that valued the company at $1.77 trillion.
Despite the decline, the article said Wall Street targets remain far above the current price. It cited a consensus target of $236.71, implying more than 100% upside, and highlighted Raymond James as an outlier with an $800 target. According to 24/7 Wall St., the bullish case views SpaceX as more than a launch provider, combining reusable rockets, Starlink broadband, direct-to-cell connectivity, defense applications and possible orbital computing infrastructure.
The report also said the selloff appears partly linked to broader weakness across space-related stocks. Rocket Lab and AST SpaceMobile were both described as down over the past month, though less steeply than SpaceX. 24/7 Wall St. also pointed to company-specific pressure, including concerns around share unlocks, short selling, limited proof of sustained profitability and skepticism about near-term S&P 500 inclusion.
The significance for investors is the gap between near-term market caution and long-term analyst optimism. As presented by 24/7 Wall St., the debate turns on whether Starship, Starlink and newer AI-related infrastructure ambitions can produce durable profits, or whether dilution, capital needs and execution risks keep weighing on the stock.
