USA Today reported that the last scheduled batch of July Social Security payments is due to be sent Wednesday, July 22, 2026, as part of the Social Security Administration’s regular monthly payment calendar. The payments apply to beneficiaries whose birthdays fall from the 21st through the end of their birth month.

According to the report, Social Security benefits, which largely serve older and retired Americans, are generally distributed on Wednesdays based on a recipient’s date of birth. People born from the 1st through the 10th are typically paid on the second Wednesday of the month, while those born from the 11th through the 20th usually receive payments on the third Wednesday. Recipients with birthdays after the 20th are generally paid on the fourth Wednesday.

USA Today also noted exceptions to that schedule. People who started receiving Social Security before May 1997 generally get their benefit on the third day of the month, unless that date falls on a weekend or federal holiday. Those who receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income usually get Social Security on the third day and SSI on the first day of the month.
