What the report says

Sevilla are close to agreeing a £7.9m deal to sign Scotland Under-21 forward Robbie Ure from Swedish side IK Sirius, according to BBC Sport Football. The 22-year-old is expected to travel for a medical on Monday and, if completed, would sign a five-year contract with the La Liga club.

BBC Sport reports that Sevilla view Ure as a candidate to lead their attack at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. Interest in the striker has grown after a productive season in Sweden, where he has scored 20 goals and added three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.

Ure began his senior career at Rangers before a brief spell at Anderlecht, but his form at Sirius has been the main driver of the proposed move. Since joining the club a year ago, he has scored 31 goals and set up seven more in 50 games, with 15 league goals helping Sirius to a strong position in the Swedish top flight.

The BBC also noted that Ure has not yet committed to a senior international team. He has been linked with Scotland and is also eligible for Ukraine, though he has previously indicated a preference to wait for a Scotland call-up. The move matters because it would represent a significant step up for a young striker whose development has accelerated in Sweden.
