What the report says

The Observer reported that a 24-year-old private security guard, Godfrey Kasaga, was arrested after allegedly shooting and killing his colleague, Pascal Agenda, at Nile Depot in Kiryatete Cell, Hoima city. Both men worked for Radah Tech Security Company Ltd and had been deployed to guard the site. Police said the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, around 4:48 a.m., after the two guards reportedly had a disagreement whose cause was not yet clear.

According to the report, Agenda was shot in the back, head and left arm and died at the scene. The company’s manager, James Mugisha, said he alerted police after learning of the shooting, leading officers to arrest Kasaga. Police also recovered the firearm they believe was used, a SAR gun, and said it had four rounds of ammunition.

The suspect was being held at Hoima City Central Police Station as investigators continued their work. Agenda’s body was taken to Hoima City Mortuary for a postmortem before being released to relatives for burial arrangements. Albertine Region police spokesperson Julius Hakiza confirmed the case and said the suspect would be charged with murder after investigations are completed. The case highlights concerns around workplace disputes and firearm access among private security personnel.
