Sanyuka TV to Host Tulime Tulunde Tufune Agro Expo to Promote Modern Farming

What the report says
Nile Post reports that Sanyuka TV is preparing to hold the Tulime Tulunde Tufune Agro Expo at the UMA Show Grounds in Kampala on July 25 and 26. The two-day event, linked to the station’s Tulime Tulunde agriculture programme hosted by Ismael Ssembatya, is intended to connect farmers with agribusinesses, lenders, input suppliers, technology providers, innovators and agricultural specialists. Entry is reported to be free.
According to the report, organisers want the expo to promote farming as a commercial enterprise by giving participants access to practical information, demonstrations and business contacts. Sanyuka TV Brand Manager Josephine Nnaggayi said the event is meant to bring solutions closer to farmers, including guidance on financing, value addition and sustainable agribusiness practices. Government agencies are also expected to participate, including the Uganda Revenue Authority, which will advise farmers on formalisation, records and tax compliance.
The programme is expected to include panel discussions on modern farming methods, mechanisation, agribusiness, value addition and long-term agricultural growth. Nile Post named several scheduled speakers, including Brian Natwijuka of Robran Holdings Ltd, Ismail Nsubuga of Conc Feed International, Mathias Assiimwe of Kubota and John Paul Mubba of Urban Farmer Uganda Livestock Solutions Ltd.
The event matters because agriculture remains central to Uganda’s economy and livelihoods, especially for household income, food supply and exports. Beyond training sessions, the expo is being positioned as a marketplace where farmers, processors, equipment suppliers, financial institutions and buyers can form partnerships across the agricultural value chain.
