Sanyuka TV producer dies, Brian Macona hospitalised after road crash

The accident, which happened in the early hours of Monday, also left entertainment presenter Brian Macona seriously injured. The report says the group was returning from a celebrity boxing event between Chicken Chicken and Shawa when the crash occurred.

Sqoop Uganda reported that Badru, who worked as both a producer and trade marketing officer at Sanyuka TV, died at the scene. Another occupant, identified as Isaac, also died in the accident. Macona survived and was taken to Kisubi Hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. His condition was described as critical by Monday morning.

The incident has prompted an outpouring of grief from journalists, presenters and entertainers, many of whom shared tributes on social media and asked for prayers for Macona’s recovery. The article also noted that Macona had survived another road crash only days earlier, adding to the concern around his condition.
