Macona survived and was taken to Kisubi Hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. His condition was described as critical by Monday morning.

The incident has prompted an outpouring of grief from journalists, presenters and entertainers, many of whom shared tributes on social media and asked for prayers for Macona’s recovery. The article also noted that Macona had survived another road crash only days earlier, adding to the concern around his condition.
