What the report says

9to5Google reports that Samsung’s rumored next Galaxy Buds have appeared in another leak, this time in images that more clearly suggest an open-ear design. The earbuds have been referred to in leaks as “Galaxy Buds On,” while 9to5Google notes another possible name, “Galaxy Buds Able.” The images were surfaced by SamMobile, though the exact origin is unclear; 9to5Google says they may have come from some kind of Samsung app.

According to the report, the newly circulated images offer a better look than earlier icon-based leaks. They show earbuds with what appears to be a green or gray accent, though it is not clear whether that detail indicates lighting. The charging case shown in the leak resembles the case used for Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, 9to5Google said.

The product would be notable because an open-ear format would place Samsung more directly alongside similarly styled earbuds from companies such as Motorola and Bose. Open-ear earbuds generally aim to let users hear outside sound while wearing them, a different approach from sealed in-ear models that prioritize isolation or noise cancellation. That broader market context is not a confirmed description of Samsung’s device.

Timing remains unresolved. 9to5Google points out that Samsung did not introduce the earbuds during its recent Unpacked event for new foldables and watches, making IFA in September a possible venue. The site says Samsung is already expected to bring the Galaxy S26 FE to that event, with new tablets also possible.
