Android Central reported from Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in the U.K., where the company introduced a broad 2026 device lineup led by new foldable phones. The event took place July 22, starting at 9 a.m. ET, or 2 p.m. BST, and the outlet noted it was Samsung’s first major U.K. launch in 14 years, dating back to the Galaxy S3 era.

The central announcements were two Galaxy Z Fold 8 models. Android Central said the standard Fold 8 uses a shorter, wider format aimed at making the outer screen and unfolded display more practical, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra keeps a taller shape and a rear three-camera design similar to the Fold 7. Samsung also announced the Galaxy Z Flip 8, described as slimmer and upgraded, continuing its clamshell-style foldable line.

Beyond phones, Samsung refreshed its wearables with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
