Ruto Announces Plan For Free University Education for All Kenyan Students

He said the administration wants the system to begin with the September intake.

Ruto urged Parliament to move quickly on changes linked to the Higher Education Loans Board framework, arguing that students should be able to take up demanding programmes such as medicine or engineering without cost becoming the deciding factor. If approved, the reforms could reduce pressure on Kenyan households and address long-running complaints from universities and students about funding gaps.
