Ruparelia Foundation Donates School Supplies to Luweero Girls Primary School

What the report says
The Ruparelia Foundation has donated scholastic materials, sanitary pads and sports equipment to Luweero Girls Primary School in central Uganda, according to Nile Post. The handover formed part of a wider memorial initiative for the late Rajiv Ruparelia, the son of businessman Sudhir Ruparelia and a rally driver whose death last year was noted by the publisher as a loss felt by the motorsport community.
The items delivered to the school included books, paper, pens, pencils, toilet paper, sanitary pads and balls. A foundation representative, Kimera Stewart, said the effort was meant to preserve Rajiv Ruparelia’s support for young people and to encourage girls to take part in sports, which he said can build confidence, discipline and talent.
School leaders and community figures welcomed the donation, saying access to learning materials and menstrual hygiene products can help girls stay in class and focus on their studies. The headteacher of Luweero Girls Primary School, Christine Kigozi, thanked the Ruparelia family for what she described as timely support for learners’ needs.
Nile Post said the outreach was linked to the second edition of a motor competition organised in Gulu District in Rajiv Ruparelia’s memory. As reported, the visit also included planting a memorial tree at the school, underscoring the event’s mix of sports remembrance and community support.
