Real Estate and Housing Expo to Convene Industry Players in Kampala

What the report says
Uganda’s real estate, housing and construction sectors are set to meet in Kampala on September 25–26 for the second Uganda Real Estate and Housing Expo (UREHE 2026), according to Nile Post. The two-day gathering will take place at Kingdom Kampala Gardens and is expected to draw more than 100 exhibitors from at least 10 countries.
The expo will combine an industry exhibition with the second Annual Housing Conference, with sessions focused on Uganda’s housing and urban development challenges. Organisers said the event will bring together developers, investors, financiers, construction firms, architects, planners, valuers, surveyors, technology companies, government agencies, academics and development partners. The theme is “Adequate Housing for All.”
Nile Post reported that the programme is designed to create a platform for public- and private-sector players to share ideas, present solutions and explore investment and partnership opportunities. Planned activities include keynote speeches, panel discussions, technical sessions, policy dialogues, business networking, product demonstrations and a gala dinner with awards.
The event is being convened by the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development and organised by Douglas Events Ltd. Supporters listed include several companies and professional bodies in Uganda’s property and construction sectors. The expo comes amid broader concern about adequate, affordable and sustainable housing as Uganda’s population grows and cities expand, a challenge that is common across fast-urbanising countries in the region.
