Rangers bolster wing options with signing of Kim

Rangers have added South Korean winger Kim Min-Su from Girona for an undisclosed fee, according to BBC Sport Football. The 20-year-old has signed a four-year deal with an option for another year, and becomes the club’s 12th signing of the summer as the Ibrox side continues to rebuild its wide attacking options.

BBC reported that Rangers have been actively looking for wingers during the transfer window and have already brought in Djeidi Gassama, Findlay Curtis, Ross McCausland and Daisuke Yokota. The club had also been linked with other targets earlier in the summer, including Couhaib Driouech and Amario Cozier-Duberry, but those moves did not materialise.

Manager Derek McInnes said the club had made strengthening the forward areas a priority and described Kim as a player who can add a different dimension to the squad. In general terms, the move fits Rangers’ wider effort to add pace and depth in attacking positions ahead of the new season.

Kim joins after a loan spell with Andorra in the second tier last season. BBC Sport said he left Girona following their relegation from La Liga and had previously played for Girona B and the senior side. His arrival gives Rangers another option on the flank as they continue to reshape the squad.
