NFL.com reported that the Los Angeles Rams introduced two alternate uniforms Thursday night ahead of the 2026 season, both drawing on major periods in the franchise’s past. The looks are named “Classic Sol,” built around a gold jersey with white pants, and “Fearsome White,” a mostly white-and-blue uniform tied to the team’s famed defensive identity of the 1960s and early 1970s.

According to the report, the Classic Sol design is meant to echo the Rams’ 1951 NFL championship team, with royal striping, block-style numbers and white pants carrying blue-and-gold striping. Los Angeles is scheduled to wear it in Week 2 against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football on Sept. 21, and again in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football on Dec. 3.

The Fearsome White set references the “Fearsome Foursome” defensive line associated with Deacon Jones, Rosey Grier, Lamar Lundy and Merlin Olsen. NFL.com said the Rams plan to use that uniform for their Thanksgiving Eve game against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 25. The design includes white jersey and pants, blue shoulder horns, blue numbers with black trim, black player names and a modified royal helmet with white horns and facemask.

The rollout matters beyond merchandising because NFL uniforms often serve as a link between current teams and franchise history. NFL.com noted that white has not been elevated this way for the Rams since their 2016 return to California, while the new gold jersey revives a color the club has used only sparingly in recent decades.
