Princess Amirah weighs in on King Saha, husband Kasolo clash

What the report says
Princess Amirah has publicly brushed off the dispute between singer King Saha and her husband, Ugandan minister Haruna Kasolo, saying the confrontation was minor compared with the criticism Kasolo has faced over time. According to Sqoop Uganda, her comments came in an interview after the earlier incident in which King Saha confronted Kasolo over claims that his concert had been undermined in Kyotera, Kasolo’s home district.
Amirah, who said she was present during the tense exchange, argued that Kasolo was not seriously affected and had grown used to public attacks. She suggested that the singer’s criticism stood out mainly because he turned it into music, while others had insulted Kasolo repeatedly without as much attention. The remarks frame the incident as part of a broader pattern of political and entertainment-world friction rather than a one-off clash.
She also said she did not intend to intervene. Amirah described King Saha as a brother and pointed to shared clan ties, saying she had no reason to take personal offense. She added that she was in Kampala at the time and would not get involved in what she called the pair’s dispute. The comments add context to a conflict that has drawn interest because it connects a popular musician with a government minister and their differing public roles.
