Prime Minister Nabbanja Orders Release of Fuel for 220km Road Upgrades in Oyam District

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has ordered the Minister of Works and Transport to release fuel so work can resume on about 220 kilometres of central government roads in Oyam District, according to Dokolo Post. The directive was issued on Friday, 28 August 2026, after Oyam South MP Patrick Ogwang Obura raised the stalled project as a matter of national importance in Parliament.

Obura told the House that road upgrades in areas including Acaba, Minakulu, Sambia, Loro and Kamdini had slowed because the fuel supplied earlier was not enough to go beyond bush clearing.
