Presidential Assistant Kissakyamukama Turns President Museveni’s Wealth Creation Message Into A Thriving Commercial Agriculture Enterprise

Watchdog Uganda reports that Yiga Kissakyamukama, the Special Presidential Assistant on Service Delivery and Monitoring, is presenting his farming and business ventures in Gomba District as examples of President Yoweri Museveni’s wealth-creation message. During a farm visit on 25 July 2026, Kissakyamukama showcased enterprises run under his company, NRM7, and said he wants local youth to see commercial agriculture as a route to better livelihoods.

According to the report, one of his farms in Kigumba Village, Kigezi Parish, Maddu Sub-county, occupies 125 acres of government land on a 49-year lease. It includes 150 goats, 70 cattle, a 25-acre eucalyptus plantation, 10 acres of bananas and two acres of plantain, and employs nine permanent workers plus casual labourers. The article also says he has a 12-acre coffee and banana plantation in Kyamabaale Village and a Kisozi dairy farm with 80 cows producing about 200 litres of milk a day.

Kissakyamukama told the publisher that he began goat farming with 30 animals after being inspired by Museveni’s Parish Development Model tours, and is targeting 600 goats by the end of the presidential term. He also described a personal rise from childhood hardship in Maddu to trading agricultural produce, saying presidential education support and training helped him build capital and business discipline.

The report adds that Kissakyamukama has diversified into concrete blocks, pavers and a hotel project, and plans to organise youth groups across Gomba’s nine sub-counties to plant coffee and bananas.
