President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has returned to Uganda after a two-day working visit to Tanzania, according to Watchdog Uganda. The president arrived at Entebbe International Airport and was received by Vice President Jessica Alupo, Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Lucy Nakyobe, and other senior government officials.

The publication said Museveni’s trip focused on bilateral engagement with Tanzanian authorities, including discussions intended to strengthen cooperation between the two neighbouring countries. During the visit, he met Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Watchdog Uganda reported that the two leaders launched a new phase of Uganda-Tanzania energy cooperation and witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at deepening collaboration in the energy sector.
