Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem bolster a strong quarter for Capcom, as Monster Hunter and Street Fighter sales hit record highs - Eurogamer.net

What the report says
Eurogamer reports that Capcom’s Q1 2026 financial materials show strong early sales for two recent releases, Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem. According to the company figures cited by Eurogamer, Pragmata has sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide since launching in April, while Resident Evil Requiem has passed 8 million sales following its February release.
Capcom’s report described Pragmata as having performed well, with the company pointing to promotional activity and the building of a fanbase as factors behind its start. Eurogamer framed the results as part of a solid quarter for the publisher, with Capcom also saying that performance from new releases and catalogue titles helped drive year-on-year unit sales growth.
The report also included updated lifetime sales totals for some of Capcom’s major franchises. Eurogamer says Street Fighter has now exceeded 60 million series sales, Monster Hunter has reached 131 million, and Resident Evil remains Capcom’s biggest listed franchise at more than 213 million sales globally.
The figures matter because they suggest Capcom’s core franchises and newer projects are continuing to deliver commercially across current platforms, including PC and major consoles. Eurogamer also noted the company’s wider momentum, including recent attention around Resident Evil 4’s remake sales and the approach of a new Onimusha release, though the central figures come from Capcom’s latest quarterly reporting.
