Posha UG speaks out after missing performance at Ray G concert

What the report says
Singer Posha UG has publicly complained after she says she was left off the stage at Ray G’s sold-out concert at Kololo Airstrip, even though her name was on the official performance lineup. According to Sqoop Uganda, the Enshonga singer said she arrived at the venue around 6 p.m., spent much of the night waiting, and watched other artists perform while her slot never came.
In a social media post, Posha said she had invested time and money in rehearsals and felt humiliated after leaving without performing. She directed most of her criticism at the event’s emcees, MC Kacheche and Councillor Amon, questioning why invited performers were not given equal opportunity. She also said this was not the first time something similar had happened to her.
Posha did not accuse Ray G of personally causing the problem, instead focusing on stage coordination and what she described as excessive influence by emcees at concerts in western Uganda. Sqoop Uganda reported that her comments sparked debate online, with some users sympathizing with her frustration while others called for better planning so scheduled artists are not overlooked. The incident adds to ongoing discussion in Uganda’s live-music scene about performance timing, show management and the role of emcees at large concerts.
