The title was previously shown during PlayStation’s February State of Play presentation, where Sony said it would come to PS Plus as a monthly game, and it has since been given an August launch date.

According to the report, Big Walk is scheduled to be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, as a day-one PS5 release. PlayStation LifeStyle said the game will be offered across regions on the same date because PS Plus Essential monthly games do not use the staggered rollout pattern seen with some other PlayStation Store updates. Sony was expected to disclose the full August Essential lineup on Wednesday, July 29.

Big Walk is described as a cooperative multiplayer adventure focused on communication, teamwork, exploration and puzzle-solving.
