Video Games Chronicle reports that applications have opened for a network test of The Duskbloods, FromSoftware’s upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. According to the report, players can register through the official Duskbloods website from Wednesday, July 22, beginning at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. BST. The application window runs until July 28.

VGC says applicants need a Nintendo Switch 2 console and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. The selection method has not been specified, so it is unclear whether places will be assigned by order of application, lottery, or another process. Selected players will receive a download code for five four-hour test sessions scheduled between August 21 and August 24.

The test is intended to assess online performance rather than serve as a public demo. VGC cites FromSoftware as saying the sessions will be used for large-scale server load testing, multiplayer checks across varied network conditions, and game balance evaluation. Up to eight players will be able to participate together in multiplayer matches, and the studio has warned that bugs are expected because the test uses in-development data.

The Duskbloods does not yet have a firm release date, though FromSoftware currently lists it for release by the end of 2026. Nintendo describes the game as a multiplayer action title in which players take the role of the Bloodsworn, using distinct weapons, abilities and blood-based powers while fighting alongside or against up to seven others. More broadly, the test is an early public step for a major FromSoftware project on Nintendo’s new hardware.
