What the report says

Android Authority reports that Google’s unannounced Pixel Watch 5 has appeared inside the Google Health app ahead of its expected debut. According to the outlet, a tipster shared screenshots showing “Pixel Watch 5” as a selectable device in the app’s device list. Choosing it reportedly opens a setup flow, including a screen prompting the user to connect the watch to Google Health.

The listing does not appear to reveal major new features. Android Authority notes that the app seems to use the same artwork for the Pixel Watch 5 as it does for the Pixel Watch 4, suggesting the image may be a placeholder. The setup language shown in the screenshots was also described as standard onboarding text rather than evidence of new functionality.

The early appearance is notable because it comes from an official Google app, adding to indications that the next Pixel smartwatch is close to launch. Android Authority says Google has scheduled a hardware event for August 12, where the Pixel Watch 5 is expected to be introduced alongside the Pixel 11 series.

Based on prior leaks cited by the outlet, the watch is expected in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with both Wi-Fi and LTE variants. Android Authority also referenced a Google Play Console listing that suggested the device may increase RAM from 2GB to 3GB while keeping a broadly similar CPU and GPU setup to recent Pixel Watch models. As with all pre-launch information, final specifications and availability remain subject to Google’s official announcement.
