PDM, Cattle Restocking Mess Lands Three in Police Cells in Kaberamaido

Three people have been arrested in Kaberamaido District in connection with alleged irregularities in the Parish Development Model (PDM) and cattle restocking programmes, according to Dokolo Post. The suspects were identified as Elesu Patrick, the parish chief of Okile Parish; Anyoti Martin, chairperson of the Okile Parish SACCO; and Odongo Michael, the LC2 chairperson of Okile Parish.

Their arrest followed an accountability baraza held in Okile Sub-county on September 3, 2026, where residents raised complaints about how the programmes were being managed. The meeting was organised by the Office of the Resident District Commissioner, and RDC Godfrey Nyakahuma reportedly instructed police investigators to detain the trio as inquiries began.
