The Boston Herald reported from Foxboro that the fourth day of New England Patriots training camp on July 28 featured an uneven early connection between quarterback Drake Maye and wide receiver A.J. Brown, while Kayshon Boutte continued to produce standout plays. According to the Herald, Maye has thrown to Brown 10 times in full-team periods during camp, with three completions, including several missed downfield chances Tuesday.

Boutte was highlighted as the day’s top offensive performer. The Herald said he caught all four of his targets in team drills, including a deep touchdown of at least 40 yards after getting behind safety Kevin Byard III. The report noted that Boutte has made a deep catch in each of the Patriots’ three full-speed practices, despite often working behind Brown, Romeo Doubs and DeMario Douglas in team periods.
