First Lady Janet Museveni has praised the consecration of her daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, as an Episcopal Bishop of Covenant Nations Church, describing it as a sign that God has remembered the family’s service and sacrifices. According to Nile Post, the ceremony took place on Sunday, August 23, at Covenant Hill in Maya and also marked 20 years since Patience founded the ministry, which began as a small house fellowship.

The service drew a wide group of religious and political figures, including Nigerian preacher Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and his wife Folu, Vice President Jessica Alupo, NRM First National Vice Chairperson Moses Kigongo, cabinet ministers and security officials. The consecration was led by American evangelist Bishop Dr LaDonna Osborn, with Archbishop Moses Odongo of Pentecostal Churches in Uganda and Bishop Joshua Lwere serving as co-consecrators. Several church symbols associated with episcopal office were presented during the ceremony.

In a message shared on Monday, Janet said the moment brought joy and thanksgiving to the family, and she linked Patience’s elevation to a broader recognition of long years of Christian service. She also said the event affirmed the value of the work she and President Museveni believe they have done in serving God and the people of Uganda.
