Packers add 5 more to injury list, including Micah Parsons - Acme Packing Company

Acme Packing Company reported that the Green Bay Packers added five players to injury lists on Tuesday, bringing the total to 11 of the club’s 91 players before the start of training camp practices. The latest additions were edge rusher Micah Parsons, defensive lineman Jordon Riley, tackle Brant Banks, defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse and long snapper Matt Orzech, all listed as physically unable to perform.

According to the report, Parsons’ placement was expected because of a torn ACL, and Riley’s was also anticipated because of a torn Achilles. The other three additions were described as more unexpected. Orzech’s status is notable because he is the only long snapper currently on Green Bay’s roster, which could require the team to add another player or use a temporary option if he is not ready soon.

The new moves followed Monday’s placement of six players on injury lists: running back Chris Brooks on the non-football injury list, and tight ends Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave, left guard Aaron Banks, defensive lineman Javon Hargrave and cornerback Kamal Hadden on PUP. Acme Packing Company noted that right tackle Zach Tom and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt are cleared for training camp.

The report emphasized that a preseason PUP or NFI designation does not necessarily set a recovery timetable, because players can be activated after reporting to camp, including as early as the first practice. However, Acme Packing Company said Parsons is expected to miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season because the team has stated he will begin the 2026 campaign on the regular-season PUP list.
