Nyerere’s Sainthood bid advances to witness interrogation amid criticism

Bishop Henry Mchamungu, the Auxiliary Bishop of Dar es Salaam and the official overseeing the cause, said church officials are questioning people about Nyerere’s life, faith and conduct as they collect evidence for the diocesan inquiry. The process is taking place alongside the AMECEA Plenary Assembly in Nairobi, and the next steps would eventually send findings to the Vatican for review.
