What the report says

Northern Uganda’s Miss Uganda 2026 regional search has advanced, with Alum Eunice Amelia crowned Miss Uganda North 2026. Akot Charity finished as first runner-up, while Atim Victoria took second runner-up, according to Nile Post. The winners will move on to the national competition, joining contestants from other regions in the race for the Miss Uganda 2026 title.

The regional contest was held at Motiv Bugolobi in Kampala over the weekend and was organised with the Miss Uganda Foundation, with support from V&A Sherry. Nile Post reported that the event brought together contestants from Northern Uganda to present their confidence, talent, ambitions and personal stories before judges and an audience.

The article said the contestants were assessed on personality, confidence and talent, with the competition also creating space for them to represent their communities on a national stage. The journey from Northern Uganda to Kampala was described as a significant one for the young women involved, underscoring the effort required to compete at this level.

Nile Post added that the Northern Uganda results followed an earlier Eastern Uganda contest in Jinja, and that the search will continue in West Nile, Western and Central Uganda. The Miss Uganda 2026 grand finale is scheduled for October 10 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, where the winner is expected to represent Uganda at Miss World.
