Police said Nwosu’s body was found inside his Toyota Hilux with multiple gunshot wounds, while the second victim, who has not yet been identified, was discovered nearby with a gunshot wound to the head. The Anambra State Police Command said preliminary information suggested that three suspects in a silver Toyota Corolla were involved. Officers said they responded to distress calls, recovered the bodies, and later confirmed both men dead at a hospital.

The report said Nwosu was known in Awka as a disc jockey, master of ceremonies, and occasional radio presenter. A source also claimed he had been followed from home by attackers in a tinted vehicle, though that detail had not been independently confirmed. Police said they had stepped up patrols and surveillance, transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka, and were seeking public assistance to identify the suspects and their vehicle.

The incident adds to concerns about violent crime and cult-related killings in parts of southeastern Nigeria, where communities often rely on police investigations and local tips to identify attackers.
