Bala also urged PDP supporters of Nami to extend their backing to the president. In remarks reported by Leadership, he criticized Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago and argued that Nami would be a stronger political driver for Tinubu in the state. The group also praised former Rivers State governor and current FCT minister Nyesom Wike, describing his role as helpful to efforts to build alliances across party lines.

The declaration comes as parties and alliances begin positioning themselves ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections. While the report reflects a local faction’s stance rather than an official PDP position, it highlights how cross-party endorsements could shape competition in the North-Central region.
