Premium Times reported that Adeleke finished with 511,067 votes, ahead of Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 444,815 votes. That gave the incumbent a margin of 66,252 votes. Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) placed third with 17,180 votes. The report also said 2,339,544 voters were registered, 1,010,684 were accredited, and 985,079 ballots were valid.

The result was described as broad but competitive across the state. Adeleke won 19 local government areas, while Oyebamiji won 11. Strong showings for Adeleke were recorded in places such as Ede North, Ede South and Osogbo, while the APC candidate’s best performances came in areas including Irewole, Olorunda and Ife South.
