Nigeria: I'll Remain Committed to Inclusive Governance, Says Oyebanji, Canvasses Muslims' Support for Tinubu

What the report says
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji said he will continue what he described as an inclusive style of governance in his second term, with broader participation from stakeholders in the state’s affairs. The remarks were reported by This Day and distributed by AllAfrica, and were made in Ado-Ekiti at a special Jumat thanksgiving service at the Central Mosque held as part of activities marking the start of his second term.
According to the report, the event drew Muslim worshippers, government officials, traditional leaders, community figures and other stakeholders. Oyebanji thanked God for another term and expressed appreciation to the Muslim community for its prayers and support. He said his administration would keep promoting peace, unity and religious tolerance, and would pursue programmes aimed at improving living conditions in Ekiti State.
The governor also told the audience that more Muslims would be considered for roles in his administration during the second term. In addition, he urged the Muslim community to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, linking that appeal to federal backing for development in Ekiti. Religious leaders at the service, including the President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas for the South-West, Edo and Delta States, praised Oyebanji’s approach and said Muslim appointees had contributed to state development.
