Nigeria: Dangote Raises Petrol Gantry Price Twice in 5 Days

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has again increased its petrol gantry price, raising the rate for Premium Motor Spirit from N1,185 to N1,200 per litre. According to Daily Trust, the new N15 per litre adjustment took effect on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and was communicated to customers through the refinery’s Group Commercial Operations.

The report says the change also affected coastal delivery pricing, which moved higher in tandem with the gantry price. Customers were instructed to return authorisation documents for repricing, and the refinery said new volume contracts would be issued so loading could resume under the revised terms.

This is the second increase in less than a week. Daily Trust said Dangote Refinery had earlier lifted the gantry price from N1,165 to N1,185 on August 21, bringing the total rise to N35 per litre within five days. The article noted that the latest move came even as international crude oil prices were said to have eased amid renewed US-Iran talks.
