What the report says

NFL.com’s Sunday league roundup reported that the New England Patriots have signed defensive end Gabe Jacas, their second-round selection at No. 55 overall. The team announced the rookie deal Sunday, making Jacas the last member of New England’s 2026 draft class to come under contract, according to the roundup. NFL.com also noted that Jacas was later placed on the active/non-football injury list, while Patriots wide receiver Jeremiah Webb went on injured reserve.

The roundup included several other roster and transaction updates from around the league. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the Arizona Cardinals agreed to a revised contract that would pay him $15.5 million in 2026, with incentives or escalators that could bring the maximum value to $21.5 million. In Dallas, former NFL quarterback Will Grier, who recently retired as a player, is returning to the Cowboys as an offensive assistant.

Injury-list moves were a major part of the update as teams manage rosters around training camp. The Denver Broncos placed guard Nick Gargiulo on the active/PUP list and linebacker Jordan Turner on the active/non-football injury list. The Detroit Lions listed tight end Tyler Conklin, defensive back Kerby Joseph and safety Brian Branch on PUP. The Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers also made injury-related designations.

San Francisco additionally signed defensive tackle Kevin Givens to a one-year contract and waived defensive lineman Evan Anderson. The 49ers placed running back Isaac Guerendo, tight end George Kittle, defensive end Mykel Williams and defensive tackle Alfred Collins on PUP, reflecting the routine but important roster management that precedes the regular season.
