Next Media Welcomes Capital Radio Stations Into Expanded Media Portfolio

What the report says
Next Media has announced the integration of Capital Radio Group — including Capital FM, Beat FM and KIIS FM — into its broader media portfolio, in a move it says will give advertisers access to a wider mix of platforms. The company marked the development with a Partners Breakfast at its Kampala headquarters, where it brought together clients, business partners and executives to discuss how the combined business could serve audiences and marketers more effectively.
According to the report from Nile Post, the expanded portfolio now links radio with Next Media’s existing television, digital publishing, outdoor advertising, content production and events businesses. The company said this structure is intended to support more coordinated marketing campaigns and allow businesses to reach consumers across several channels rather than through isolated media buys.
Next Media Group Chief Executive Kin Kariisa used the event to encourage businesses to engage media partners earlier in the planning process, saying the goal should be to build communication strategies around business challenges and performance targets. He described the company’s approach as one aimed at delivering broader business results, not only advertising placements. His remarks were echoed by Patrick Quarcoo, founder and retired Group CEO of Radio Africa Group, who told attendees that media companies can offer audience insight as well as advertising reach.
The report says the integration strengthens Next Media’s presence in Uganda’s media market and is meant to build on existing client relationships through a more unified offering.
