For England, Keegan scored 21 goals in 63 appearances between 1972 and 1982 and later managed the national team from February 1999 to October 2000, including at Euro 2000. In club management, he led Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester City, and returned to Newcastle for a brief spell in 2008. His first Newcastle tenure included promotion to the Premier League in 1992-93 and a second-place finish in 1995-96 with the side remembered as “The Entertainers.”
