A Ugandan technology company has unveiled a new online relationship platform aimed at moving singles away from informal social media matchmaking and into a more structured, privacy-focused digital environment.

Launched by 256 AI Systems, 256Heart.com positions itself as an alternative to WhatsApp matchmaking groups, Facebook pages, Telegram communities and personal referrals, which have become common avenues for people searching for long-term partners.

The developers argue that while these informal channels have helped many people connect, they often expose users to fake identities, scams, limited privacy and a narrow pool of potential matches.

To address those concerns, 256Heart.com introduces a dedicated matchmaking platform that combines identity verification, compatibility-based recommendations and user-controlled privacy settings.

Instead of matching users primarily through photographs, the platform analyses factors such as shared values, interests, lifestyle, personality and relationship goals to recommend compatible partners.

Members can also decide who is able to view their profiles, photographs and personal information, a feature the company says is intended to promote trust and protect users' privacy.

The platform offers four membership plans—Starter, Gold, VIP and Stealth—each designed to cater for different relationship needs and levels of confidentiality.

While the free Starter package provides access to essential matchmaking features, Gold expands visibility and communication options. VIP targets professionals seeking greater discretion, while the premium Stealth membership is tailored for individuals whose public profiles or careers require maximum privacy.

According to the company, Stealth members remain hidden from public searches and can initiate conversations anonymously, with additional identity verification and confidentiality measures required before communication is established.

Beyond serving Ugandans within the country, 256 AI Systems says it plans to expand the platform internationally, targeting diaspora communities and foreign users interested in forming serious relationships with Ugandans.
