Naava Grey to headline Johnnie Walker Uganda Ladies Open finale

Nile Post reports that singer Naava Grey will headline the closing event for the Johnnie Walker Uganda Ladies Open, bringing an evening of music and entertainment to the Uganda Golf Club in Kampala. The finale is scheduled as a special 19th-hole experience under Johnnie Walker’s She Walks platform, and it is intended to mark the end of the 2026 Ladies Open.

According to the report, the gathering will bring together golfers from the tournament, guests and members of the golfing community for networking and celebration after the final round. Johnnie Walker says the She Walks platform is meant to highlight women who are moving forward in different parts of their lives, while also creating spaces for connection and shared celebration.

Christine Kyokunda, the brand manager for Johnnie Walker Uganda, said the company sees the Ladies Open as a display of determination and resilience and wants to honour the players beyond the competition itself. The evening will also feature MC Ms Deedan, DJ Anselem, a curated menu and drinks showcasing the brand’s whisky portfolio.

The report says Naava Grey, known for songs including Ninga Omuloge, Aliba Waani, Nkwetaga, Nteredde and Kangume, will provide the headline performance. More broadly, the event reflects how sponsors of sports tournaments often use post-competition gatherings to extend the occasion into a social and branded experience.
