MP Alenyo uploads Nabbanja for fact-finding Pakwach mission

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has agreed to travel to Pakwach district for a fact-finding mission over a longstanding land dispute, following renewed pressure from Jonam county MP Marshall Alenyo. The dispute concerns contested customary land in Gotafoyo parish, now in Nwoya district, which Jonam residents also refer to as the Palango or Lokapalango land question. The community says the land was taken from them. Nabbanja indicated that she would treat the matter as a priority in the coming days, after saying she had known about the issue for some time and had also been briefed by President Yoweri Museveni.
