What the report says

Notebookcheck.net reports that Motorola has disclosed launch details and major specifications for the Moto Pad 70, a new Android tablet headed to India. The information comes via a Flipkart microsite, according to the report, and follows earlier details about a related model, the Moto Pad 70 Groove. The standard Moto Pad 70 is scheduled to launch in India on August 8.

The tablet is listed with a 12.1-inch display described as having “2.5K” resolution and brightness of up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode. Motorola is also positioning stylus support as part of the package, with the Moto Pen included in the box. Internally, the device uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400, a 6nm octa-core chipset, and Notebookcheck notes that this processor typically posts around 449,000 points in AnTuTu v10.

Other confirmed features include 5G connectivity, a 10,200mAh battery, 68W fast charging, a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, and Android 16 out of the box. The tablet is said to weigh 530 grams and measure 6.29mm thick. Motorola is promising two major Android version upgrades and security updates until 2030, which may be a notable selling point for buyers comparing longer-term software support.

For context, Notebookcheck says the Moto Pad 70 appears, based on its specifications, to be related to Lenovo’s Idea Tab Plus. The report also notes that the separate Moto Pad 70 Groove, with a nine-speaker JBL audio system, is due to launch in India on July 31.
