Blizzard News reported new details for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 following its appearance at Fanatics Fest in New York. According to the publisher’s post, the game’s booth ran for four days and gave attendees an early playable look at Multiplayer through Kill Block, a 10v10 Gunfight experience set in the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility. The event also featured Infinity Ward developers, creator livestreams, exhibition matches, interactive displays and limited merchandise tied to the game.

The article said the next major showcase will be Call of Duty: NEXT on August 21, with live gameplay, developer briefings and additional reveals before the beta. For the first time, Blizzard said the Modern Warfare 4 beta will begin immediately after the NEXT broadcast. The first beta weekend, from August 21 to August 25, is early access for players who pre-purchase on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. A second weekend, from August 28 to September 1, is described as an open beta for all players on all platforms.

Blizzard’s post also outlined beta content, including multiple maps and modes, new Operators, up to 19 weapons, small-scale 3v3 matches, larger battles with vehicles, Search & Destroy, Kill Block and a Training Mobility Course. Players who pre-purchase the Vault Edition are slated to receive access to specified Operator packs and Signature Weapon Collection items during the beta.

The publisher additionally detailed a pre-purchase camo promotion connected to Black Ops 7 Season 05, which it says starts July 23. Digital pre-purchasers can receive the Moonlit Pearl universal camo and a challenge for Gilded Ruin, with individually numbered variants reserved for the first 100,000 players who unlock it.
