Miss Uganda finalists take a night off ahead of grand finale

Sqoop Uganda reports that the 22 finalists in the Miss Uganda 2026/2027 competition stepped away from rehearsals for a girls’ night out at the Boot Camp House in Buwaate on Friday, October 2. The gathering, hosted by V&A Sherry, featured music, dancing and time to relax as the contestants enter the final days before the grand finale.

According to the article, the finalists have spent weeks in intensive training, judging sessions and rehearsals ahead of the final contest, set for October 10 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel. The evening was presented as a chance to ease pressure, strengthen bonds among the contestants and recharge before the competition reaches its climax. DJs Patra and Krusher provided the music, while the House of Motion from Trroy Studios led dance activities.

Brand manager Roy Ronald Tumwizere said the outing was meant to give the contestants a break from the demands of pageantry. Finalists Sophie Asianzu and Murungi Angel Liz described the night as a welcome pause after a busy week of preparation. The event is the latest in a series of Miss Uganda activities, including Presentation Night on September 18 and Talent Night on September 25, both held in Kampala. The finale will decide who succeeds outgoing queen Miss Elle Trivia Muhoza and also includes the planned Miss Talent announcement.
